I love it when healing happens immediately and there are no attacks of the enemy. However, sometimes this is not the case. Satan does not want you to walk in healing--physical or spiritual. And, because healing is sometimes gradual, symptoms go away gradually. This is an open door to question whether God has healed you. In fact, sometimes symptoms get worse!
This is where your posture needs to stand firm! Put on the armor of God and do what Ephesians 6:11-17 says! I also encourage you to be thankful for the healing you did receive (1 Thes. 5:16-18). The more you thank Him, the more healing you may receive.
Here are a couple of suggestions that should help you through this season:
Do not focus on your symptoms as this could doubt our healing. Although symptoms may be present, we know what the truth is, we are healed (2 Pet. 4:2) The enemy is a liar; satan is the father of all lies (John 10:10). We agree with either the lie or the truth. We empower what we agree with (Matthew 18:18-19). Don’t give satan permission to make his lies powerful in your life.
Do not speak negative words that glorify satan’s ability to attack your body. Our words are powerful. Edit yourself on what you say and don't give him credit and enable his attacks against you.
Remain in an atmosphere of faith by continuing to study God’s Word on Healing. Praise God for your healing and study scripture on healing: He sent his word and healed them (Psalms 107:20); For I am the Lord who heals you (Exodus 15:26); And by His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:3-5); He himself took our infirmities and bore our sickness (Matthew 8-17); By whose stripes we were healed (1 Peter 2-24)
Testify about your healing to others, giving glory to God. Overcome satan by the Word of your testimony (Rev. 12:11).
Surround yourself with a positive environment of faith: Spend time with those who continue to praise God with you for healing and help you resist the attacks of the enemy.
Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Make every effort to bring your lifestyle into alignment with God’s healing power. Maintain a healthy diet and exercise regularly.
